The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) publishes the permanent TSB/ESRI house price index based on the agreed sale price and is calculated using data from the mortgage drawdown. It stretches back to 1996. The Environment, Heritage and Local Government releases a database of house price statistics on new and second-hand houses and apartments with time series stretching back to as early as 1970.
