Statistics Netherlands publishes a monthly house price index of existing own homes, those dwellings sold to a private person and intended for permanent residence by that private person. It is based on a complete registration of sales of dwellings by the Dutch Land Registry Office (Kadaster) and Value Immovable Property (WOZ). It stretches back to 2005. The NVM, the largest Dutch association of real estate agents and property experts, releases quarterly development house prices which extend back to 1985.
